Sunday Service: 10 AM Every Sunday

What To Expect

It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one. You may be anxious to know about dress.  Some people come casually dressed in t-shirts and jeans or shorts, others come dressed in formal suits - we are a diverse lot - so please dress the way that makes you feel most comfortable.

Worship

This time is set aside for communicating with God with our hearts and minds. Depending on musicians that are available, you may experience blended worship with guitar, piano and drums, and on other occasions there will be traditional music with the pipe-organ. Everyone worships in their own unique way. For some this may mean clapping or raising of hands, for others it means quietly reflecting on the words.  You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

Our service is designed to bring each of us into the Presence of God. We start with a hymn or chorus of thanksgiving. This is followed by a call to repentance and assurance. This is simply a response by the congregation (words are on screen) that allows us to make our lives right with God, before continuing into his Presence with worship. We then continue with praise, and then hear God's Word and a practical message applying God's Word to our lives
. Other elements such as video and drama may also be introduced on occasion.

Offering

Following the message we continue to worship God through the giving of our tithes and offerings.  This is an act of worship for those who want to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives and to be obedient to his will.  It also gives Christ Community Church the means to show God’s love in tangible ways to others in our community and in the world.

Communion

Once a month, we celebrate Holy Communion together. We invite anyone who has made the decision to love and follow Jesus Christ to participate in this meal of his. The bread and the cup that we share, represent the life that Jesus gave up so that our sins could be forgiven. Together we remember his death, we celebrate his resurrection and we partake of his presence spiritually in our hearts while anticipating his return one day.

As a guest

We hope that you will feel as welcome as possible with us. Following the service, please join us for coffee and light refreshments in the Fellowship Hall - we would love to get to know you better and for you to get to know us better.
